Tools and Automation Engineer

SonoSim is seeking an excellent Tools & Automation Engineer to automate various aspects of our software development and operational processes. An ideal candidate for this position should be a self-motivated individual, seeking to work in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.

Job Description

• Expand the functionality of internal tools for the fulfillment of new orders.

• Automate and streamline the fulfillment process.

• Improve the integration of various web services with SalesForce.

• Contribute to the implementation and integration of various tools for programming and performing quality control on various hardware devices.

• Implement tools to automate and simplify tasks related to quality assurance.

• Support other teams by implementing tools and workflows to improve automation and decrease errors.

• Implement tools to help the management of inventory and other assets.

• Implement and adopt third party systems to create better troubleshooting tools and a knowledge base for customer support.

• Implement tools to help the management of inventory and other assets.

Key Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of scripting and automation.

• 3 years of proven experience with Python.

• Ability to implement simple lightweight Web services using NodeJS, Django, or other open source web development technologies.

• Strong knowledge of Linux and the command line.

• Experience using both Windows and Mac.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical members of the team.

• Keen ability to listen to other team members and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.

• Willingness to coach team members on how to use the software tools being developed.

• Knowledge of build systems and continuous integration is a plus.

• Knowledge of front-end web development and ability to create functional browser-based interfaces is a plus.

• Knowledge of UI frameworks is a plus.

• Knowledge of mobile development is a plus.

• Knowledge of C++ is a plus

• Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.

• Knowledge of AWS and the cloud is strongly preferred.

Education

B.S in computer science or other relevant technical field
