React Developer

dotstudioPRO is seeking developers to join our digital team. We are an entertainment technology company focused on delivering monetization and distribution tools to the entertainment industry. We are looking for forward thinking and passionate engineers that can contribute not only great technical skills but be a voice on the team. You will be developing cutting-edge applications for the global media industry. 

You will also be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle: idea, design, documentation, implementation, delivery, and maintenance. We expect that you write clean, logical, well-documented reusable code. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop customer and support-facing web applications

• Support developers in successful build, test, and release of features and products

• Support the development of both UI and server-side platforms

• Work through user-centered design practices to gather and incorporate end-user feedback into development

• Occasional ownership of small projects, and managing some ongoing project communication (status reporting, requirements alignment, etc.)

Must haves:

• Experience and knowledge in Web development and production.

• Strong knowledge and experience with Javascript (MVC, OOP).

• Strong knowledge and experience with component style JS namely React. JS

• Experience with Mongo DB and NodeJS.

• Experience in Webpack

• Experience with State Management namely Redux

• Proficient in Git

• Working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatible dynamic web, video and mobile web applications.

• HTML 5 and CSS 3

• Less and/or  SaaS

Nice to haves:

• Video.js experience

• React Native

• Redis

• Flexbox

• Experience with scalable enterprise applications

• Familiarity with online video streaming 

Education:

- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, diverse work experience in IT, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
